Welcome Message from the Fire Chief
On behalf of the 58 outstanding men and women of the Petaluma Fire Department, welcome to our Web Page, the Fire Department, and the City of Petaluma, California.
The Petaluma Fire Department (PFD) Emergency Response Team is a group of highly trained, well educated, and technically competent emergency service professionals. Our workforce includes Firefighters and Paramedics, Fire Investigators, Inspectors and Public Education Specialists, Support Staff, Command Staff, and an Executive Leadership Team.
The Department has provided fire protection, fire prevention, medical care, rescue, and all hazards emergency response services around the clock for over 152 years now. Founded in 1857, the Organization continues to protect its citizens and their property, its businesses, and all guests and visitors to the City of Petaluma.
The members of this Organization are passionate about delivering quality emergency services, and they are “Committed to Professional Excellence.” Along with their dedication to the Community, our members are brave and caring, and they can be counted on to perform admirably even under dangerous and difficult conditions.
As Fire Chief of the Petaluma Fire Department, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve this Community providing Leadership to our group of courageous men and women.
