Per the
National Weather Service (NWS)
another storm should arrive later tonight (Thursday, February 25th,
2010) which
will affect the greater Bay Area.
The
storm should hit the
North Bay
around
midnight. Brief periods of heavy
rainfall (possibly hail) can be expected with the storm continuing
through
Friday and Saturday. Winds on the coast
are expected to be 20-30mph with gusts up to 45mph.
Rainfall is expected to bring 0.5” –
1” on
the coast and 1.5” - 3" in the hills.
Sunday
will bring dry
weather.
With this rainfall there will be chances for localized
flooding from
small streams, creeks, and culverts; flash flooding and ponding in
low
line areas, and anticipated power outages due to the winds and
downed
trees.
