Project Description
This project involves replacing approximately 1,800-feet of 8 and 10-inch water mains with a new 16-inch water main, replacing existing water services, upgrading 10 fire hydrants and rehabilitating about 1,600-feet of 12-inch sewer main. The existing water and sewer lines are over 70 years old and are badly deteriorated. This project will improve our aging water and sewer infrastructure, and reduce maintenance costs.
Traffic
Construction will occur during daytime hours from Howard Street to Liberty Street. To minimize traffic impacts, work from Liberty Street to Water Street North will be conducted at night.
Traffic may be subject to delays, including lane closures, however at least one lane will be open in each direction. Access will be maintained to homes, businesses and to adjacent streets.
Project Cost
The total project cost is estimated at $1.4 Million.
